Job Title: Payroll and Managed Accounts Advisor

Salary: £9.50 per hour

Hours of work: 25 hours per week

Monday-Wednesday 12.30pm-5pm, Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 12.30pm-4.30pm

Responsible to: Development Manager

About Health Your Way CIC

Health Your Way was established in 2013 and is a not for profit Community Interest Company that supports individuals with disabilities and their families to live independent lives.

We provide information, advice and a range of support services to individuals, who hold a Personal Health Budget or Personal Budget.

We are a small organisation that aims to make a big difference to the individuals that we work with.

Aims and Objectives

To provide a robust and accurate administrative support system to Health Your Way and to assist in the smooth running of the office.

Key Tasks and responsibilities

  • Telephone: Answering the telephone: dealing with a wide range of routine enquiries and taking clear, concise messages and dealing with payroll and managed accounts enquiries.
  • Email: Daily management of several email addresses, checking incoming email, responding in a timely manner and forwarding emails to appropriate the person where necessary.
  • Record keeping: Keeping accurate and up to date records, particularly relating to client information, input and retrieval of information onto electronic and paper based systems.
  • Filing: Maintaining office filing systems (online and paper-based).
  • In house documents: Photocopying, scanning, shredding confidential waste.
  • Accounts Reconciling accounts; creating and submitting sending invoices.
  • Word Processing & Excel: Production of correspondence, documents and spreadsheets as required.
  • Payroll:Regular use of the Payroll system, processing weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly payroll for an increasing number of clients. Managing enquiries and liaising with HMRC, setting up pensions for our clients.
  • Managed Accounts:Receiving and making payments, reconciling bank statements, sending statements to clients on a monthly basis.
  • Workstation:Keep desk and work area, neat and tidy.
  • Personal development: Undertake personal development and relevant training as identified.
  • Supervision:Prepare for and participate in regular supervision with your line manager.
  • Any other duties: Undertake any other reasonable requests to support Health Your Way as required by the Director or Development Manager.

Knowledge and Experience

Experience of working in a busy office and dealing with a varied and fast paced

Experience of operating payroll systems and dealing with payroll related enquiriesE

Qualifications (D)

  • Maths & English (GCSE) or equivalent
  • Payroll packages training
  • Administrative qualifications (e.g. NVQs)
  • Intermediate or Advanced Apprenticeship: administrator / business support officer; administration team leader / office supervisor
