Test Scenario / Staff Member Year End Review Executive Template
At the end of the year, staff members (executives) are required to review their progress on each objective, performance against Behavioural Expectations and overall performance during the year.
This test script asks the Staff member to review every tab and give an appraisal rating to each and/or comments.
Each phase contains 4 steps:
-  Staff member self evaluation
-  Manager review and comments/edits, after which it can be returned to the staff member for edits or confirmation (this can occur multiple times)
-  Staff member edits
-  Staff member confirmation, after which the Performance Plan moves into the next phase.

Employee Search, Leave Information, Personal Information, Pay and Benefits, Personal Information and MyPerformance MyCareer
3 / Click the MyPerformanceMyCareer Tab / View more options within MyPerformance MyCareer

4 / Click on ESS Performance Workplan / A list of employee documents is displayed.
5 / Check that the dates are correct for the current year. / Current year is displayed.
/ Change the dates if required.
6 / Highlight the button for the correct Performance Workplan and click on the Performance Workplan name or to view and change the information. / A new page opens containing the Workplan.
7 / Scroll to the end of the page and click on the Click on the Administration Data button / Your personal details should be viewed, such as Status, Substatus, manager name and Staff member.

8 / Click on the button to see more information. / A new window is opened with information such as staff number, position details, annual leave entitlement.
/ Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
9 / Click on the Position description button / If no position description exists, a message should be viewed in a new window.

If a position description does exist, you will see the PD itself. / Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
10 / Click on the Additional information button / A new window opens linking you to the RMIT website/MyPerformance MyCareer website. / Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
11 / Click on the Attachments button / A new window opens to Google, where you will be able to sign in and upload documents post January / Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
12 / Click on the Action Log button / A new window opens, displaying details of any changes made to the form, and who made them.
/ Close the window to return to the Performance Workplan
13 / Check the Performance Workplan status / The Performance Workplan will be at Year End Staff Appraisal stage

14 / Click on Cascaded Objectives tab / The Cascaded objectives title, Activities to achieve and Performance indicators are in display mode. A new comment box for Staff Comments and a drop down box for Appraisal values are available for use.

15 / Click on the Individual Objectives tab / The Objective Title, Activities to achieve and Performance Indicator are all in display mode.

17 / Click the Development Objectives Tab / The Objective Title, Activities to achieve, Support, Timeframe for completion, Delivery mode and Alignment are in display mode. A new comment box for Staff Comments and a drop down box for Appraisal values are available for use.

18 / Click on the career Profile tab / This tab contains all previously agreed information in display mode. It cannot be changed and does not need to be appraised.
19 / Click on the performance Feedback tab / This tab contains a drop down value list for an appraisal rating, as well as an open text field for overall comments on how the staff members feels they have performed during the year.
/ Additional fields need to be completed for Overall success, strengths and highlights, and Areas for improvement and development.

20 / Save the document by clicking the button / A message is displayed, indicating that the document has been saved.

21 / Print the document / The document should print to your elected printer and should be an accurate copy of the Performance Plan as you have completed it.
22 / Save and Submit to Manager
/ A pop up message box is displayed requesting a reason for the status change.
/ Enter:
“The Performance Workplan is ready for review”
23 / Click OK / The Performance Workplan is sent to the approver, and the window closes automatically.
When refreshing the task list on ESS, the status and substatus indicate that the Workplan is now with the manager.

24 / Email your manager to advise that you have completed this step
Year End Review Phase: Step 2 – Manager/Appraising Manager /

This step is completed by the Manager.
The Manager should send you and email once they have completed their tasks.
Staff members who open the form while it is with the manager for review will not be able to view any tabs or information contained on them. This is because your manager is still editing the form, and information has not yet been confirmed and agreed.

4 / Highlight the button for the correct Performance Workplan and click on the Performance Workplan name / A new page opens containing the Workplan.
5 / If the year end review needs to be edited, click the Reopen end of year appraisal button go to step 9 in this table.

6 / If objectives are comments and appraisals are acceptable, go to Step 5.
7 / Click Continue / A new window is displayed asking for a reason for the status change.
/ Enter a note for your manager:
I would like to review the appraisal and comments made by my appraising manager.
Click OK
8 / Click OK / The Performance Workplan window closes and has been returned to the manager.
9 / Email your manager to advise that you have completed this step
Year End Review Phase: Step 4 – Manager/Appraising Manager /

This step is completed by the appraising manager. They are able to reopen the Performance Workplan for further edits.

1 / Check the forms status / The Home page should be displayed. And the form should be in Accept year end review status

2 / Decide whether the form should be reopened or confirmed / If manager has made edits that staff member queries, click on “reopen”

5 / View Behavioural Expectations by clicking on the

8 / Click on the performance Feedback tab

There is an acknowledgement statement which must be selected.
/ Check the box for the acknowledgement statement
9 / Select the Acknowledge and complete appraisal phase button
/ The screen should flicker slightly when saving
10 / Click Continue / A pop up box is displayed asking for a comment
/ Enter the following:
Thank you for the comments during the year.
11 / Click / Once the Employee Documents screen is refreshed, the substatus will show that the Performance Workplan is now in completed
