Business Development:I am responsible for the solicitation, and contract negotiation, for the Marina Grande on the Halifax, Biscayne Landing Towers III & IV, New River at Las Olas, Civica Medical Office Building, and Shephard’s Beach Resort, the generating 10 million in gross revenue to the firm over a period of four years.
Operations:I am responsible for the day to day activities of the firm and oversee the work load of the staff, scheduling of projects, and requirements of the consultants on multiple projects. I am responsible for evaluating the cost of a project up front and placing a value on professional services. Once a proposal is executed I prepare the AIA agreements for review with the Owner and execute the consultant agreements. I am responsible for the hiring and dismissal of my support staff as well as evaluation of their efforts in determining advancement. Finally, it is my responsibility to review all costs for payment or billing.
Contract Administration:I am responsible for all Contract Administration activities within the firm, with the final determination of all technical and construction issues requiring attention. I am responsible for all change order review and approval. Any and all claims are referred to me for action and determination.

Highlights of Responsibilities include the following:
Management:The documentation of the Dolphin Mall required a staffing solution of 18 architects which I was responsible for managing. On a weekly basis I would meet with the Project Architect to evaluate budgets, schedules, and performance. I was responsible for all communications and coordination with Structural Engineers, MEP Engineers, Life Safety Consultants, and Thematic Design Consultant. I was responsible for the timely and profitable completion ofthe work. I was responsible for all communications with the Owner. All issues arising with permitting fell to me to address. This included presentations to the Chief Building Officials and Fire Officials. I was responsible for constructability review and coordination of all MEP systems. As a result of Owner changes, I would evaluate the cost and schedule implications with the Design Team and prepare requests for additional services for Owner approval. Finally, it was my responsibility to review all costs for payment or billing.
Contract Administration:During the construction phase of the Dolphin Mall During the project the staff was reduced to four Architects’ in the field and three Architects’ in the main office. One a daily basis I would interface with the Architect’s supporting me to discuss construction issues and Owner Changes. Principal communications with the Owner and Contractor required daily meetings to discuss solutions for challenges that the Contractor was dealing with. Weekly Change Order meetings were held with the Owner and Contractor to evaluate cost implications as well as schedule concerns.

Highlights of Responsibilities include the following:
Management:I was responsible for the acquisition and distribution of shop drawings, as well as communications with the Owner, Architect, and Consultants to resolve problems. I was responsible for sub-contractor buy-out, sub-contractor coordination meetings, scheduling, and quality control issues. During my participation in the project delays caused by design issues and acts of god required the submission of a claim to the Owner. It was my responsibility to help with the documentation of the claim, as well as develop the cost and scheduling impacts. This required that I interfaced with the Sub-Contractors, to determine the impact to the critical path. Using Primavera, I developed modifications to the schedule to and determine the length of time that would be required for each impact in order to support the claim and change order process.
