Subject: / Samples of ITS RFPs
Hi. If available, please send copies of any RFPs that invited proposers to propose on an entirely new ITS system (hardware/software plus field devices) or on specific/multiple (VMS, RWIS, CCTVs, etc) ITS deployment. Currently, I am on a committee task with performing some fact-finding on ITS technologies plus on another committee working on a PA web redesign to provide better traveler information. So I am glad to report that those 56 days (hahahahahaha) spent at the Academy did not go to waste. I am happy to be applying the principles I learned and glad for this opportunity. Been spending loads of time on some of your Agency's websites to get ideas so I might be calling you to ask very specific questions especially any invaluable "lessons learned" you can share. Also, thanks for the travel time info you provided some time back.

Hello to all! Barbara, if you haven't already taken a look here's a couple of links to our public traveler information website here in Washington State: If you need further information, I can put you in touch with our web team on the specifics. We are also working towards an upgrade to be eventually owned and controlled by WSDOT. This process, when complete, will remove our dependency on CARS (Condition Acquisition Reporting System) that we currently use. I may be contacting the group in the future for some input on how your systems generate similar traveler information output. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the reunion as our out-of-state travel ability has been sidelined as an economic concern right now. Hope everyone who makes it has a great time! I look forward to the interaction this list serve allows though and hope to stay in contact with you all far into the future...
