Outreach Commission Meeting Wednesday March 21, 2018
Attendance: Lamis Hajjar, Holly Moran, Kathleen Garrison, Scott Loiselle, Joan Stoltz, Scott Schnegg, April Foley, and Jennifer Boyd
Kathleen, Pastoral Council recap, Zack Hinger is looking for team members for the Parish Mission for this year coming up in November. John Monroe, Finance Council, everything is favorable. Leadership discernment, Pentecost Mass. They need a member from each council and commission for the discernment.

Holly shared with us the ministry accountability & Planning Worksheet.
Requested Outreach Commission to host - Fellowship weekend March 30th- 31th 2019
- Motion was made to make this Fellowship weekend a joint weekend with the Just Try It event. Motion was passed to have a joint weekend.
Matthew 25 ministry had asked if they could put collection bins in St. Max’s parking lot. Scott Schnegg shared that they could put bins only if they locate their own volunteers to check on the bins from time to time, and not asking volunteers from St. Max.Lamis shared that they might bring a truck twice a year, like St. Vincent DePaul instead of having bins. Holly stated the Facilities department would need to be part of this dialogue if they were to find volunteers.
Joan, letters were sent out to 45 charities that our outreach ministry leaders work with an invitation and application to apply for funding. Also, Joan requested if Lamis can email outreach ministry leaders with
an invitationfor members to be part of the OAC.
Holly, presented the Stephen Ministry Leaders proposal to extend terms, motion was pasted in favor of the proposed amendment.
Scott Schnegg, shared results of the Just try it event, 480 bags.
- 80 bags went to the Talbot house. 40 for men and 40 for women.
- Winners were Erica Schermer and Sherry Banks for the raffle.
Holly, shared updates of the current budget for this year and next for the Outreach ministries.
