German Kiln Technology GmbH (GKT) was established in 2009, with the goal to design and manufacture kilns for refractories and technical ceramics. GKT engineers have over 20 years experience building and installing over 100 kilns worldwide.
GKT specializes in the design and manufacture of industrial kilns for all thermalprocesses in the ceramic industry. The focus is on the high-temperature range, energysavings, thermal after-burning as well as product and firing process optimization.
The product portfolio includes, e.g., sintering lines and industrial kilns for firing technicalceramics and refractory materials, measurement and control technology aswell as control and process control systems, SCADA, firing systems as well as automationsolutions and handling components.The discontinuous and continuous kilns are mainly used in the refractory industry, theautomotive industry, in high-voltage insulator manufacture and for producing technicalceramics.
The technologies produced in Hamm are supplied mainly to China and India, but alsoto Italy, Brazil, Austria and Germany; the export share is over 90%.Among the innovative developments is, e.g., energy-saving firing technology for all industrialkilns. The company is currently working on the further development of theORC system for an innovative energy recovery, which also achieves a notable ROI forsmall industrial kilns with ever-increasing energy prices. By using the heat recoveryprocess and particularly good insulating materials for lining the equipment, thecompany is trying to manufacture in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner.
