FUNDAMENTALS

The Washington Fundamentals pre-licensing program has been created to provide you with a basic foundation for real estate knowledge and to give you the critical information needed to successfully pass the state licensing exam.

Our Fundamentals computer-based pre-license program is a self-paced system that allows students greater flexibility. Fundamentals has multiple dimensions that make it both educational and fun. It is interactive and features quizzes, sample test questions and an on-screen glossary. The Fundamentals program boasts the highest pass rate of any course state-wide. NO prior computer knowledge is required and there is a technical assistance phone number on every CD-Rom.

Tuition of $250 includes the Washington Fundamentals, ASI Exam Guide and an exam prep all on CD-Rom. Students may begin at any time and complete the entire course in as short as three weeks or as long as six months. Visa, Discover and Mastercards accepted. Please contact us for more information about any of our pre-license program.

Students should have completed all lessons prior to beginning the ASI Guide or Exam Prep. We look forward to serving you!

Licensing exams are offered in Tukwila at the ITT Building, 12720 Gateway Dr. Suite 210, Monday-Saturday at 8:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The test center fee is $138.25 for each exam scheduled. Students may schedule for the state exam only after completing the entire Real Estate Fundamentals 60 clock hour course and passing the final exam with a score of 70% or greater. All students will be given written candidate certification upon completion of the course.

The salesperson's licensing exam consists of 110 scored multiple choice questions and approximately 10 pretest questions that will not be scored, for a total of 120 questions. Scored and unscored questions will not be identified - so you must treat each question as though it will be graded.

The test is divided into two sections. The general section is composed of 80 graded questions (approx. 85 total questions). The State portion contains 30 graded questions (approx. 35 total questions). A passing score is 70% on each of the two sections. If one section is not passed, only that section must be retaken.

Better than 70% of all candidates state-wide successfully pass the exam on their first attempt. Our computer-based program boasts an average 95% pass rate on the first attempt!

The state utilizes an electronic testing system much like a computer. Candidates simply touch the screen to select their answer. The EXPro system allows candidates to change answers, mark questions for review, and review skipped questions while maintaining complete control of the EXPro testing system. All candidates are given 4 hours to complete the exam.

Upon completion of your 60 clock hours of training, the State of Washington requires that you take and pass a final exam administered by the school. We have two final exams available on computer, each exam consists of 180 questions with the same content area focus as the state exam. This is excellent preparation for the real thing.

Students should contact the school representative at your site to receive instructions prior to taking the school final exam. You can retake the final exams as many times as you want to prepare for the state exam.

It is important to review your answers immediately after grading the exam to determine areas needing further study. Once the exam is exited, only the final score is saved and review is no longer possible.

Allow yourself at least 4 hours to take the final exam and review your answers. Students taking final exams on the computer have priority and can remain at the computer for a reasonable amount of time beyond that which is scheduled if additional time is needed to complete exam.
