PURPOSE OF THE CONCERT

i.to experience once again the joy of singing we shared as a group under the direction of Mrs. Agnes Nebo von Ballmoos

ii.to use this concert as a ‘funds generator’ towards endowing a scholarship(s) at the University of Liberia in honor and memory of Mrs. Agnes Nebo von Ballmoos

iii.to let this concert be the beginning of a long term effort towards establishing a more lasting and permanent memorial to Mrs. Agnes Nebo von Ballmoos at the University of Liberia

UNIFORM FOR CONCERT

The chorus will wear two different attires.

For the first part of the concert:WOMEN – long black dresses ( with modest jewelry )

For part two of the concert each chorus member will wear African/Liberian attire of their own

Choosing. For the sake of uniformity, women will have their heads ‘tied’.

NOTE: We will have to change at the facilities at the church, so practice your quickest change possible. We will probably have 15 minutes maximum to change.

SUMMARY OF FUND RAISING STRATEGY

General975 tickets @ $10.00 each

Patron15 tickets @ $15.00 each

Special Patrons10 tickets @ @100 each

Estimated # of participating members: 40 persons

Estimated # of tickets to be sold by each member: 1000 / 40 = 25 tickets

2)Sponsorship – key persons and corporations in the community will be identified and requested to lend their names to the event through sponsorship.

Levels of sponsorship:

  1. platinum ($500 and above)
  2. gold ($300 + but not higher than $500)
  3. silver ($200 + but not higher than $300)

These persons will receive printed space in the souvenir program as well as tickets to the concert.

3)Donations - we are aware that some members live in states that are not in close proximity to the Maryland, DC area (eg: Atlanta, Carolinas, etc). We expect that those members may not be able to sell tickets in their respective states. Therefore, they may have to request donations from their friends and family. Tickets allotted to those out of state members would have to be sold by other members.

These names will be printed in the souvenir program if said names are received by a deadline to be specified.

4)Sale of Ads of business or personal well-wishes for placement in the Souvenir Booklet. Proceeds from the Ads will help defray the cost of printing the booklets. Ads to be sold at the following prices:

Full page - $100

Half page - $50

Quarter page - $20

5)A page or two in the Souvenir Booklet for one-liner congratulatory messages to participating members from their families and friends. Space for these messages could be sold at $5 per line. Proceeds will also help defray the cost of the booklet.
