Note: In re-typing this Paper to A4-size, each page of the original document has been expanded to two pages where possible. However, some Tables spread over more than half a page and some a lot less, and so a bit of squeezing and shaping has had to be done. Otherwise, the Tables are exactly as in the original. The culprit hopes that these Tables are still readable for all his inadequacies.

ESTIMATED NUMBERS -- 30th JUNE, 1935.
The following summary of the numbers of full-blood aboriginals in the Commonwealth as at 30th June, 1935, was obtained from subsequent returns furnished through the State Statisticians by Protectors of Aboriginals, viz.: -
Group. / Males. / Females. / Persons.In Employment, Camps, &c. .. ..
Nomadic ...... / 13,436
16,180 / 10,326
14,436 / 23,762
30,616
Total ...... / 29,616 / 24,762 / 54,378
The smaller number of nomads in the year 1935, as compared with 1933, is almost entirely due to more complete counts in the latter year in Western Australia and in the Northern Territory. The figures for Western Australia include an estimate of 10,000 full-bloods for those living outside the influence of Europeans. These have been equally divided between the sexes.
Census, 1933: 4a
NOTE: - Nomadic aboriginals are not included in this or subsequent tables in this Bulletin.
