OLLHA Board Meeting
June 8, 2017
Meeting called to order by President Jerry Norgaard at 2:00 PM CDT.
Attendees:
Jerry Crosby, Jerry Norgaard, Aaron Herzog, Stephanie Jahr, Jerry Ekegren, Pat Faith, Dick Sinclair
Additions to and Approval of Agenda:
Addition is made for the annual meeting.
We need to make a general review in all areas of OLLHA
The cross road between Ekegren/Peterson and Outlot A should be returned to OLLHA.
Minutes:
Minutes were accepted as is, Stephanie, motion to approve, second by Pat Faith, all approved.
-- Reports
· Treasurers Report Pat Faith
o Funds available $37,506.35
o Al’s marine cost went up to $25 this year, from $11
o 3 persons are in arears again this year.
o For persons who haven’t paid their dues by Jan. 31st, their lifts won’t be put in the water in the spring. This was missed this year. An email will be sent out on April 2nd next year.
o Motion to approve treasurers report by Jerry Ekegren, Second by Dick Sinclair, approved by all
· Committee Reports
o Architectural Norm Riska
§ The new pool at Peterson’s doesn’t have a fence. Aaron will follow up on this.
§ John Hill submitted a request for a house that was approved.
o Maintenance Dick Trickel
§ Lodge Janitorial Service
· Pat Faith will check with the legion to see if their cleaning person will clean our bathrooms.
· We need the linoleum replaced in both bathrooms
· Dick Sinclair, Jerry Ekegren and Aaron will now be on the maintenance committee. Jerry Norgaard will inform Dick Trickel.
§ Shoreline Remediation Project
· We are going to leverage the hill improvements to argue why we need to keep launching the lifts at Al’s marine.
· Jerry Norgaard made a motion to pay up to $8,500 to have some company put in riprap on the north 240’. This will be dependent on the approval of our dock people. Jerry Crosby second. All in favor.
§ Burn Pile
· Jerry N will add a note in the newsletter reminding people to not throw grass and leaves into the burn pile or any other non-organic materials.
o Marina Dick Sinclair
§ Shore Power Replacement
· All is done. We may need some tree trimming or other ongoing maintenance issues attended to.
§ We need to remove part or all of the big White Pine above Jahrs boat. Stephanie will check with Bert to see if her son could do this after the docks are removed.
§ The hill hiker area has been redone, looks great.
§ Dick is working with Norlake Dock service to replace Derrick.
§ The Marina Committee will minimally have meetings twice a year.
§ We need to enhance the lighting on the floaters.
§ Dick Sinclair will write up proposed additions to the Marina Guidelines
o Administration
§ Rules & Regulations
· Stephanie will lead up this effort with assistance from Mary Ekegren.
