Uncovered foods release moisture and make the compressor work overtime

Interesting facts about the First Nations people!

Walking through deep snow can be slow and difficult. Native peoples developed snowshoes to make it easier to travel on foot during the winter. A snowshoe frame was made from curved strips of wood, such as cedar, with straight pieces of wood running across to make it stronger. Thin strips of animal gut or hide would be woven in a web that was attached to the wooden frame.

The west coast Native people invented totem poles. The images on a totem poles were often symbols that represented information about a family group such as the accomplishments and history of the people in the group. Totem poses were often placed outside a home to welcome visitors or used inside to support the structure of a plank house.
