How to access the Core Skills Register

In your email please indicate whether you need access for Junior Doctors, Healthcare Students or both.

How to use the Core Skills Register
An online user guide is in development to support the use of the Core Skills Register. The guidance will be easy to follow and provides useful information regarding the use of the Core Skills Register including how to log in, search and utilise reporting functions.
This guidance is currently in development and will be released shortly. Presently available are captivate videos produced to support administers learning.

Minimum Data-set required for the Core Skills Register
The following link opens a spreadsheet that identifies the minimum data-set required to upload records onto the Core Skills Register. You need to ensure the system you are using to capture training contains these data fields. In the document you will notice there is a slight difference in the data fields required for Junior Doctors and Healthcare Students.

Bulk upload records onto the Core Skills Register
The link below opens a spreadsheet that can be used as a template to populate with your training records from your existing system. Once done it can be used to bulk upload your records into the Core Skills Register.
Please note: The file will need to be saved as CSV file before it is imported into the Core Skills Register.

Programme Team

Seán Bradbury – Programme Manager (East Cheshire NHS Trust)
Manages the whole programme, lead for Core Skills and Clinical Skills work-streams and key programme link to e-Assessment, Primary Care and Care Certificate programmes. Programme regional contact for Cheshire & Merseyside.

Francis Lee – Systems Support (East Cheshire NHS Trust)
Provide systems support across the programme, including first line support to the Core Skills Register, linking with various learning management systems, and running reports.

Mark Burke – Project Manager (Lancashire Care NHS FT)
Project manager for the Future Workforce work-stream. Programme regional contact for Cumbria & Lancashire and key contact for HEIs and FE Colleges.
