How to create a contact sheet

Ø  Open up Photoshop and go to FILE – BROWSE IN BRIDGE

Ø  Adobe’s Bridge program will allow you to view your pictures in a contact sheet format.

Ø  Click on ESSENTIALS (top right) – and go to your Digital Photo folder and look for your images

Ø  Hold down the CONTROL KEY and begin selecting all the images you would like to use for each contact sheet (3 on each page).

Ø  Once they’re all selected click on the OUTPUT tab (top right), you now will have a new window available to put in the information needed to create your contact sheet.

Ø  You want to select PDF

Ø  Under DOCUMENT scroll down to WIDTH & HEIGHT, change to 8.5W by 11H and make sure it is on INCHES.

Ø  Quality should be 300 ppi and Background should be WHITE.

Ø  Under LAYOUT Columns should be 1 and Rows should be 3

Ø  Under OVERLAY you can opt to change the FONT to whatever you want but keep the size at 12 and the color must be BLACK, type out your name and label according to which series it is.

Ø  When you are satisfied with your contact sheet, scroll down to the bottom and select SAVE and save it to your Digital Photo folder, the name you give this file should be your Contact 1 Aperture, Contact 2 Focal length, etc. and when it is done being saved, just hit OK when the pop-up window appears

Ø  Create a new folder with your name on it in the DP folder for your class on the flash drive

Ø  Drag all 3 contact sheets into your folder and properly eject the flash drive before returning it to my desk.
