Level B Procedures- 10 Stages
1 / Lecture: The meaning of the word ‘animation’ and why we use it in presentations to catch audience attention.
2 / Activity: Show students PowerPoint Presentation with animated object in slides. (You can use some of the files form the CD attached to PowerPoint2000 book).
3 / Activity/Lecture: Open with your students an existing PowerPoint Presentation saved on their PC or from textbook CD (more than five slides), lecture and apply the steps of adding animation in step by step way, all the students must do it in parallel.
4 / Activity/Lecture: Discus with the students animation effects shown in the table [page 104] Have the students apply these effects to the provided slides.
5 / Activity: Have the students complete exercise 1 [page 105].
6 / Activity: Have the students create flash cards on animation effects names and their descriptions [page 104].
7 / Lecture: Show the students a step by step procedure of how to apply animation effects on different objects on the slide and how to change animation order for these objects using custom animation dialog box [page 107].
8 / Lecture: Explain the meaning of the words ‘clip art’ and why it is important to add these clips to the presentation in order to make your presentation effective.
9 / Lecture/Activity: Using a step by step procedure open a presentation with your students and insert clip art in all the slides then try to scale these images in a proper way suitable for your slide.
10 / Activity: Have the students complete the exercise number 3 [page 109]
Assessment (Test)
Steps / Marks
  1. Open the Presentation HISTORY OF COMPUTER.
  2. Insert suitable clip art in all the slides.
  3. Apply different animation effect for each object in all slides.
  4. Custom animation effects in the first slide to run without mouse click.
  5. Custom the animation effects in the second slide to run on mouse click and add sound effect to each animation.
  6. Change the order of the animation in slide three so that the first object to show will be the last and the last object will be the original first.
