SBEADMR Outreach – GMUG
Forest provides funding to support PLP’s outreach activities for SBEADMR /
- Provide logistical support for an annual stakeholder meeting and 1 to 3 summer field trips. Includes arranging for transportation to and from field trips and arrangements associated with the annual meeting
- Coordinate all outreach with the Forest Public Affairs Officer prior to carrying out any activity
- Coordinate with and report back to GMUG staff on status of outreach activities on a regular basis
- Report back to PLP Ex Committee on status of SBEADMR outreach activities
- Defer hosting community outreach mtgs ‘til 2018 after 1st season of SBEADMR implementation

PLP AS CLEARING HOUSE FOR EVENTS/ACTIVITIES ON PUBLIC LANDS IN MEMBER COUNTIES /
- Put on the August, 2017 PLP quarterly mtgan agenda item to discuss whether or not PLP might/should serve a role as a clearing house and/or to disburse info about activities/events going on public lands in member counties, i.e. seedling planting project on Rio Grande NF in Hinsdale County

- Phone call or email USFS, BLM and CPW to acknowledge and follow up on letter to PLP asking for help in convening meeting(s) with recreational user groups; propose a conference call with agency representatives to further clarify intent of request; share PLP willingness to convene 1 or 2 meetings at some future date and identify next steps
- Make arrangements for said conference call with PLP Co-Chairs, PLP Coordinator and agency representatives
- Follow up with Nat’l Park Service on program to assist with recreation effort – re: application due in June; and/or explore other grant opportunities to assist with this effort

GMUG FOREST PLAN REVISION (FPR)

- Contact GMUG (Scott Armentrout & Clay Speas) to explore opportunities for PLP to assist with public outreach for FPR process

FOCUS AREA: NEW PROJECTS/ISSUES
No new projects/issues were proposed for 2017 given the limited capacity of the PLP to take on more projects or emerging issues. It was agreed that before any new project/issue was undertaken it would be referred to the full Executive Committee at a regular meeting for its review and consideration.
