A MEETING OF HUTTOFT PARISH COUNCIL WAS HELD ON THURSDAY, 20TH JULY 2017

4065.APOLOGIES

Apologies were received from Cllrs. D Stephenson & S Devereaux(ELDC) & accepted.

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

It was reported that some flowers in the tubs outside Village Hall had been removed.

Problems still continued regarding parking in Church Lane & traffic cones had been moved by parents to enable vehicles to park on grass verge outside St. Margaret’s Church.

4066.MINUTES

Proposed by Cllr. Lapczuk

that the minutes of the meetings held on 18th May & 15th June 2017 be signed as a

true record. All in favour.

4067.CLERK’S REPORT

Clerk reported that there had been no reply from the owner of the Flats,

Corner House, Mumby Road, Huttoft regarding overgrown tree. Clerk to contact LCC

as it is encroaching on the highway.

AWA had advised PC that as they were responsible for repairs on Pumping Station

there was no action to be taken on adopting parcel of land on Church Lane.

4068.REPORT FROM OUTSIDE BODIES

Cllr. Marsh(ELDC) reported on the consultation on future of Louth Cattle Market.

Cllr. Matthews(LCC) informed PC that there were Grants available for the

Community.

4069.CORRESPONDENCE

LCC – Local Highways Managers to hold quarterly Parish Council’s Cluster meeting

To update on key issues & listen to areas of local concerns to be arranged in Autumn.

4072.AUDIT 2016/17

To date not received from Auditors.

4073.TREES, ST MARGARET’S CLOSED CHURCHYARD

3 quotes had been received to pollard or remove trees in closed churchyard.

A letter had been received from St. Margaret’s Church asking the PC to continue

the removal of trees in the churchyard but the Church could not complete the

work on the trees in the open churchyard until funding received.

After discussion, it was decided to defer the decision until further information

received & meet 17th August at 7p.m.

4074.ALLOTMENT LAND

The tenant had written to PC to ask if he could extend the term of his Tenancy

Agreement for 5 years (2022) as the fencing around the land required replacing &

Tenant to renew at own expense.

Seconded by Cllr. Broughton

that PC accept tenant’s offer. All in favour.

4075.TRITON KNOLL

Triton Knoll had held a consultation recently at Huttoft Village Hall and had been

poorly attended.Further information to follow.

4076.PRIMITIVE CHAPEL LAND, CHURCH LANE, HUTTOFT

This parcel of land had been overgrown, resulting in Methodist Church clearing it.

It has now become overgrown again and a letter from Methodist Church confirmed

that trustees in Huttoft are responsible for the upkeep.

Seconded by Cllr Meaker

that letter is sent to trustees requesting them to tidy the land. All in favour.

4077.HUTTOFT CAR TERRACE – PARKING OF MOTORHOMES

Local residents & visitors had voiced their concerns of motorhomes parking

Overnight at Huttoft Car Terrace & parking lengthways along many car

Parking spaces. Cllrs. Marsh & Matthews to report back at next PC meeting.

Clerk to email Cllr. C. Davie & Matthew Davey. Also, concerns that there were no

litter bins on left side of Terrace.

4078.SALTFLEET TO GIBRALTAR POINT STATEGY – update

Cllr. Meaker & Clerk attended Environment Agency workshop to discuss future

sea defences along East Coast. Fishtail rock groynes were most popular & these

along with other rock groynes to be trialled. Further workshop in the Autumn.

4079.ANY OTHER MATTERS(discussion only)

Letter from resident regarding speeding traffic on Crawcroft Lane. Clerk to

forward letter to LCC.

Hedge overgrown at property on Church Lane/Mumby Rd. Clerk to inform resident.

PC Sign requires re-varnishing – contact Andrew Harris.

There being no further business the meeting closed at 8.50 p.m.
