The Appointments Board at its 456th meeting held on 31st January 2011 made the following decisions upon which you are kindly requested to take the necessary action and inform Council accordingly.
(A) APPOINTMENTS [Effective Date: 1st February, 2011]
1. Dr. Alex Okot was appointed Lecturer on probation in the Department of Adult Education & Communication Studies.
2. Ms. Dianah Nampijja was appointed Teaching Assistant on a 2-year contract, Department of Adult Education & Communication Studies.
3. Ms. Carolyn Nyanjura was appointed Teaching Assistant on a 2-year contract against a higher post, Department of Adult Education & Communication Studies.
4. Mr. Fabian Karembe Ahimbisibwe was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation against a higher post, Department of Adult Education & Communication Studies.
5. Mr. Godffrey Mayende was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation, Department of Distance Education.
6. Mr. Arthur Mugisha was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation against a higher post, Department of Distance Education.
7. Ms. Constance Mudondo was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation, Department of Community Education & Extra-Mural Studies.
8. Mr. Jimmy Tibs Tumwesigye was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation, Department of Community Education & Extra-Mural Studies.
9. Ms. Stella Achen was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation against a higher post, Department of Community Education & Extra-Mural Studies.
10. Mr. Joseph Watuleke was appointed Teaching Assistant on a 2-year contract, Department of Community Education & Extra-Mural Studies.
11. Mr. Kenneth Balikoowa was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation, Department of Forest Management.
12. Mr. Christopher Mawa was appointed Teaching Assistant on a 2-year contract, Department of Community Forestry & Extension.
13. Dr. Steven Odongo, Teaching Assistant, Department of Veterinary Medicine, was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation.
14. Mr. Fred Yikii, Teaching Assistant, Department of Community Forestry & Extension, was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation.
15. Ms. Lucy Mulugo Were, Teaching Assistant, Department of Community Forestry & Extension, was appointed Assistant Lecturer on probation.
(B) CONTRACT APPOINTMENT/ RENEWAL
1. Mr. Denis Muyimbwa’s 2-year contract as Teaching Assistant, Department of Physics, was renewed with effect from 11th December, 2010.
2. Ms. Vicky Okello’s 2-year contract as Administrative Assistant, School of Education (Academic Registrar’s Department), was renewed with effect from 3rd November, 2010.
3. Prof. Felix B. Bareeba, Department of Animal Science, was offered a 4-year contract with effect from 7th January, 2011.

1. Dr. Edward N. Mwavu, Department of Forest Biology & Ecosystems Management, was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
2. Dr. George L. Openjuru, Department of Community Education & Extra Mural Studies, was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
3. Dr. Paul Bukuluki, Department of Social Work and Social Administration, was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
4. Dr. Anne Miyingo Kezimbira, Department of Zoology, was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer.
5. Dr. Margaret Najjingo Mangheni, Department of Agricultural Extension/ Education, was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor.
6. Ms. Hilda Ntege Mukisa, Academic Registrar’s Department, was promoted to the rank of Senior Assistant Registrar.
