Ms Gray’s Biography:

As a toddler in Maine, Lendon Gray was riding a horse with her mother before she could walk. She grew up riding western, hunt seat, bareback, playing gymkhana games, driving and generally having fun riding and caring for horses.Pony Club played the central role in her life from age 7 through her twenties. During that time she also trained with the Olympic Three Day team. Lendon Gray first gained fame for her ability to compete at Grand Prix on horses others never imagined could make Grand Prix, let alone succeed at the national levels. Her belief that any horse, regardless of size or breed, can benefit from and succeed in dressage has guided her career. At 27 Lendon started to specialize in Dressage and at the same time Seldom Seen, the first of her famous Dressage “ponies” came into her life. At just 14.2 Seldom Seen was a national champion at 3rd, 4th level, Prix St. George’s, Intermediate I and II, and Grand Prix. Lendon has competed in two Olympic Games: the World Equestrian Dressage Championships, and the Dressage World Cup. Now while running Gleneden Dressage, a stable with 52 horses under her supervision, Lendon is extremely active with the USET, USEF and the USDF. When Lendon hung up her competitive spurs, she turned her energy toward promoting the dressage education of all breeds of horses and of all riders, regardless of financial ability. Lendon’s very popular book, Lessons with Lendon , makes Dressage seem much less complicated.
