Dear Clergy,
Our 24-hour District Clergy retreat led by Bishop Bickerton is near. This year will again be another joint event with the Connellsville and Johnstown District at Camp Allegheny Conference Camp and Retreat Center on March 25 & 26, 2015.
Our time together begins on Wednesday, March 25 with registration at 1 pm. Bishop Bickerton will start his first session promptly at 2 pm and will conclude at 5 pm for dinner. At that time, we are inviting the district laity to join us for dinner and a session afterwards from 6-9 pm. Dismissal for clergy will be Thursday, March 26 following lunch.
The cost for clergy for the two day retreat is $74 per person which includes one night accommodations, three meals and snacks and beverages during the day. You may register for this event by calling your district office and mailing a check to the office, or by going online at (calendar tab – select date March 25-26) click on event tile to access the registration page or detach/complete the form below, send with your check ($74.00) payable to your district and mail to your district office. Cut-off date is March 11, 2015.
Laity will be invited to join us on the evening of March 25 at 5 pm for dinner with a session to follow with Bishop Bickerton entitled “Essentials of Faith.” We are asking the clergy to advertise this immediately to your congregations. The cost for laity to attend the dinner and session will be $10.50 per person. They may register for this event by going online or by mailing the attached form to the district office. If they have any questions, please direct them to call the district office.
Financial aid is available through Continuing Education Fund and applications can be downloaded on Conference website. Please send your check ASAP; do not wait for the check from the Conference. Also this is an expense that you can submit to your Reimbursable Account at church.
