A reminder that everyone should be using quiet and active listening skills during announcements. Everyone should stand and be respectful during pledge.

We are a PBIS school. We believe in respectful and responsible behavior. We believe in staying on task, active listening, and using a calm body in the classroom and school building. You earn points for positive behavior. Stay tuned for a school wide reward coming soon!

We are a school that believes in procedures. Our procedures for: Cafeteria

1.  Wait patiently in line.

2.  Be polite to everyone.

3.  Pick up after yourself and others to keep the cafeteria clean.

4.  Get permission to go to the bathroom or locker.

·  Yesterday was a birthday for Melanie Ona Castro and Whitney Stewart. Happy belated birthday. And, today is Haylee McKee’s birthday. Happy birthday.

·  Open fields for boys’ soccer tonight from 6-8. You must go home and then return at 6:00. We will not be going into the building.

·  The seventh grade softball team won last night. Gabby Adams was on the mound, only allowing 1 run for the Panthers. Alyssa Brown singled in the first inning earning 2 RBIs. The cruisers defeated Hilliard 11-1. Congratulations.

·  Seventh grade baseball team beat Hilliard Heritage last night 12-2. Kyle Jennings pitched a complete game to get the win. The seventh grade team is currently 4 and 3 and play at Pickerington Ridgeview tonight.

·  Any 6th or 7th grade girl interested in paying soccer next year: There is a sign-up sheet in the office. Please see Mrs. Centers with any questions.

·  We are doing make-up tests today in Room 118. We are running on a regular schedule with no change to lunch. The following students need to report to Room 118 following announcements:

·  We have started to plan for an awesome field day this year! We will be fundraising so we can have some cool activities! OnMay 12th, if you pay $2 to your homeroom teacher, you can wear a hat all day! StartingMay 15th, you can vote for which teacher you would like to see get a pie in the face! $1 = 1 vote. If you vote, your name will go into the raffle for a chance to be the student who gets to throw the pie!

·  Attention 8th grade students: The 8th grade dance will be on Friday, May 12th from 7:00 – 9:00 at Middle School South.

o  Only Groveport Madison 8th graders may attend – no exceptions!

o  Tickets are only $7, and they will go on starting of Wednesday through Thursday, May 11.

o  All school rules apply at the dance.

o  No student who is suspended for or on the day of the dance will be permitted to attend.

o  Students who have a record of discipline infractions involving violence may not attend.

o  The dress code is business casual: Khakis, button up shirt, appropriate length dresses. Formal attire is not required.

o  Snacks and drinks will be for sale for $1 each.
