Part 3: Choosing the Right Course

“Then Jesus said to the disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow me. If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life.” - Matthew 16:24,25

The problem: Deciding which route to take

What thing am I following rather than watching it fade in the rear-view mirror?

God wants us to follow Him because He’s worth following!

DECIDING A ROUTE

1. Recognize the dangers of a wrong turn

2. Realize the need for proper direction

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

3. Reachout for other’s help

A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12
