Greetings from Delta Lake Bible Conference Center! Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to go through our 2017 Summer Staff Application. Enclosed are all the necessary forms that need to be completed to be considered for a position here this summer.

As you go through these forms I ask that you do two things. First, please be in prayer about what God wants from you this summer and how you can be used to impact His kingdom. Second, ask yourself the question, “Why do I want to work at Delta Lake this summer?” I believe these are two very important things to consider. If God calls you here we want you on our team. If you are here we want you to be an active participant in our community and a dedicated worker.

Our theme for 2017 is based on 2 Corinthians 5:17:

“Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone;

a new life has begun!”

So often we allow outside influences to determine our identity. Scripture is clear that when we become a Jesus follower we have been given a new identity in Christ. We are new creatures. This summer we hope to see new identities realized as campers and guests experience the life-changing redemption that only comes through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Every summer staff position is crucial in the success of our summer programs. So, if selected to be on our team, it doesn’t matter what role you fill…it will be important to the success of the ministry.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I’ll be in touch with you once I’ve had an opportunity to review your application.

In His service and yours,

Steve

Statement of Purpose

Delta Lake Bible Conference Center exists for the purpose of presenting programs which foster Christian spiritual birth and growth in individuals and families, both younger and older. These programs encompass the areas of worship, instruction, service, and fellowship, all flavored by the distinctives of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Here at Delta we want everyone to "...attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ." Eph 4:13 This we endeavor to accomplish through the medium of retreats, conferences, and camping experiences.

The Alliance is committed to world missions, stressing the fullness of Christ in personal experience, building the Church, and preaching the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

As an integral part of the Northeastern District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance we stand on the same Statement of Faith as follows:

Statement of Faith

There is one God, who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice, and all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. He arose from the dead according to the Scriptures. He is now at the right hand of the Majesty on High, as our great High Priest.

The Holy Spirit is a divine person, sent to indwell guide, teach, empower the believer, and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.

The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and conduct.

Man was originally created in the image and likeness of God; he fell through disobedience, incurring thereby both physical and spiritual death. All men are born with a sinful nature, are separated from the life of God, and can be saved only through the atoning work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly, being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. This is both a crisis and a progressive experience wrought in the life of the believer subsequent to conversion.

Provision is made in the redemptive work of Christ for the healing of the mortal body. Prayer for the sick and anointing with oil are taught in the Scriptures and are privileges for the church in this present age.

The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Body which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations.

There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust: for the former, a resurrection unto life; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment.

The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent and will be personal, visible, and premillennial. This is the believer's blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service.
