JOB PROFILE –Independent Living Officer 1 x Permanent 37 hours and 1 x Part-time 18 hours per week to be worked over 5 daysFixed Term for 12 months

THE JOBWork in partnership with tenants and others to develop and sustain independent active communitiesthroughout our over 55 properties

Oversee the day to day management and maintenance of dwellings, equipment and communal facilities

THE WORK

What are the key things you will be doing and for how long? –

Workwith tenants to identify and act on their priorities in relation to their community. / 25% / Undertake a range of routine health and safety checks in the buildings and the equipment therein. / 10%
Support, encourage and if necessary drive tenant led events and activities / 15% / Show prospective tenants around void properties & undertake a needs and risk assessment in relation to every new tenant (refer to the Support Service if appropriate) / 5%
In line with tenant priorities, build and maintain links with other communities and organisations including NPT Homes internal resources / 15% / Answer emergency calls from tenants and take appropriate action. / 5%
Develop appropriate methods (e.g. Good Neighbour Group, Technology etc.), so that tenants feel safe and secure in their home / 15% / Undertake cleaning of specified communal areas. / 5%
In conjunction with existing tenants deliver an effective welcome process (including an understanding of equipment and facilities) to new tenants / 5%
