Overview: This program is designed to meet the needs of RNs or LPNs who have been previously licensed and wish to return to active practice. Through independent self-study, RNs and LPNs update knowledge to meet the requirements of a nursing board or simply to acquire a degree of confidence and security prior to employment. Please check with your state board of nursing regarding how many clinical hours you must complete. A pre-clinical checklist must be completed prior to beginning your clinical experience.

Course Description: This self-study program consists of seven modules for the RN program and nine modules for the LPN program. Students may begin the program at any time and have two years to complete. Upon completion of all the modules, the post-test may be ordered. After successful completion of the post-test, students may be required to complete clinical hours depending on the requirements of their state board of nursing. For an additional fee, NLI offers clinical placement in SW Idaho as well as some areas in Utah and Nevada. Please contact our office for more information on current clinical sites. Clinical placement is not guaranteed. Please do not pay the fee for this service until placement is confirmed. If we are unable to place you then you must arrange your own clinical. You must have an active or temporary license, issued by your board of nursing, during your clinical.

**Your state board of nursing may have restrictions regarding who is eligible to take a refresher course. Please contact your board prior to enrolling in our program**
