Listed below is the curriculum that all 4th grade students will receive during the 4th 9 weeks period of instruction. A grade of 70% and above is passing. The grading also applies to the two projects listed:
English Language Arts

- Texas cities, climate, landforms and population from past and present
- Texas economy
- American Indian tribes in Texas
- European exploration such as Lipan Apache, Karankawa, Caddo
- American Indian groups in Texas such as Ysleta Del Sur Pueblo, Alabama-Coushatta, and Kickapoo
- Spanish settlements and Catholic mission in Texas
- Explorers, Cabeza de Vaca, Francisco, Coronado and Rene Cavelier
Mathematics
- Place value through the millions
- Addition and subtraction
- Round whole number to nearest ten, hundred or thousand
- Place value using decimals, tenths and hundredths including money
- Points on a number line using decimals
- Interpreting bar graphs
- Two digit times two digit multiplication
- Solve word problems with multiplications
- Describe the qualities of a good friend.
- Understand Conflict Resolution.
- Explain advantages of setting short and long term goals.

Projects
- Technology Project: Students will create a Texas “Poster” using Publish of the Regions and Native Americans (map key, compass rose) The poster will include a bar graph created through excel showing numerical data about Texas
- Take home project: The students will create Science Fair Project, present in classroom and participate in the Campus Science Fair
