What’s Happening at Holy Spirit School?

Mrs. Stacey Thein and Family

Dear Parents,

Today at Mass, Fr. Bob made the faculty, students, and adults attending aware that Mrs. Thein’s husband Jeff is experiencing serious health issues at this time. As Fr. Bob stated, we need to pray for Stacey, Jeff, and their children, as doctors continue to evaluate his health needs. To assist Stacey, she will reduce her work days from five to three days a week. She will then be able to devote more time to Jeff and her family.

I know that Stacey has impacted the lives of thousands of children and their families over the years and there will be an outpouring of “how can I help.” A group of parents have already come forward to assist Stacey, Jeff, and their family. These parents will be looking at what immediate things will be needed, as well as long term assistance if and when it is necessary.

Stacey stated to me that she appreciates the text messages and phone calls she has already received, however, she wants you to know she cannot respond to all of them at this time. We can only imagine how overwhelming her life is right now. So I ask that if you want to send a card or letter of prayer and support, please send it to the school office. As I stated above, she will be in school three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).

As Jeff’s doctors are assisting him with his recovery, and providing support for Stacey, time together will be important for both.

As a faith community we can best support Stacey, Jeff, and their family through prayer.

God Bless!

From Parents!

A group of parents have stepped forward and offered to organize donations for the Thein family to show our love and support. Please consider donating in one of two ways: 1) purchasing a gift card for gas or groceries, or 2) making a cash (preferred) or check donation of any amount to go into a special account at Capital Credit Union, which can be accessed by Stacey.

Please put your donation in an envelope labeled Thein Family Savings and send it with your child to give to their teacher, bring to the school office, or hand directly to either Beth Dunphy, Andrea Hoerner, Amanda Neumeier-Kist, or Kristy Kendall.

Checks should be made payable to Stacey Thein with Thein Family Savings in the memo.

Thank you for your generosity!

Registration Update:

I would like to encourage those parents who still have to register to do it as soon as possible. Over the next few weeks I will “finalize” our teacher and instructional aide assignments for next year. In a few grades, student enrollment is critical in determining if I assign one teacher to the grade, assign a teacher and an aide, or split the enrollment numbers into two classrooms.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me.
