CONGRATULATIONS: This month, Michael Emmet Coughlan has been ordained to the priesthood for our Diocese.

Anthony McGrath has been ordained to the Diaconate, and continues his preparation for Priesthood, in our Diocese.

David Cotterall, Michael Topping and William Yates were ordained to the Diaconate for our Diocese.

John Fegan has been accepted for the 4-year Training Course for the Diaconate for our Diocese.

Deacon Tony Crisp has been awarded a Ph.D. at the University of Birmingham for a thesis on Catholic Social Teaching and Contemporary Social Welfare Policies; Charlotte O’Connell, a B.D.S. in Dentistry at the University of Birmingham; and Emily O’Connell, B.Sc.(Hons) in Audiology at the University of Manchester.

STRAWBERRY AND WINE EVENING: Pro-Life would like to thank the supporters of the Strawberry and Wine Evening. A total of £289:80 was raised.

DAY FOR LIFE: This Sunday, 28 July, is a Day for Life. Care for Life: It’s Worth It! Please take a Day for Life leaflet from the back of church. There is NOT a Collection for this.

FAMILY BBQ: The Family BBQ will be held Sunday, 11 August, after 11.15am Mass, £5 per person, children eat free. Tickets available after both Masses today, 28 July.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP: Future meetings of the Bereavement Support Group will be held over a lunchtime Meal, freshly prepared in St John’s C. of E. church Centre, Great Meols, from Monday, 5 August, at 1pm. If you know of anyone who you feel would benefit from this support, please email (or let Fr John know), and Julia will make sure they receive an invitation.
