Position 1: Mentorship Coordinators:

  1. Describe in detail an event that you feel will help mentors and mentees to develop mutually-beneficial relationships.
  1. How do you plan to retain the interest and dedication of mentors for the duration of a year?
  1. How do you plan on increasing first years’ involvement in the mentorship program?

Position 2: Industry Exploration Coordinator

  1. Why do you want to be the Industry Exploration Coordinator?
  1. Describe a time when you worked well with a team.
  1. What are some ideas you have for new workshops that can be hosted in this area?

Position 3: Professional Development Coordinator

  1. How can FIC take advantage of their current relationship with the CAC to engage first years’ interest in developing their skills for professional life outside of Queen’s?
  1. What do you think are the most important aspects that need to be communicated to first years with respect to their professional development?
  1. What are some ideas you have for new workshops that can be hosted in this area?

Position 4: Marketing Coordinator – Social Media Manager

  1. What would you do to address the low attendance sometimes seen at events?
  1. Suggest something that FIC could do differently on one of their current social media platforms or suggest a new platform that FIC could use (Facebook, Twitter, WordPress blog).
  1. Pitch an idea for a campaign that FIC could run to increase first year awareness. This could include a social media campaign, class talks, a booth in the atrium, etc. Be creative!

Position 5: Marketing Coordinator – Publications and IT Creator

  1. What would you do to address the low attendance sometimes seen at events?
  1. Pitch an idea for a video that could be launched prior to the beginning of the school year that would make first years aware of FIC before they start even start classes.
  1. Please submit a portfolio of your past publications work (either emailed or brought to the interview).
