Work Experience

2014 – Present Knowledge Manager, Michigan Air National Guard

As a knowledge manager I control, edit, and publish local instructions for a Michigan Air National Guard wing. I also ensure units maintain and protect records according to Air Force requirements, manage the wing’s SharePoint website, and serve as the wing’s Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act monitor.

2007-2014 Aircraft Maintenance Manager, United States Air Force

In this role I maintained jacket files for more than 30 aircraft; created weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance schedules for each aircraft; updated historical records daily; performed record reviews monthly for each aircraft; and created master task lists using technical orders. This role also entailed converting numerous paper records to electronic format, utilizing checklists for the proper transfer of records for incoming and outgoing aircraft, mediating conflicts between Operations and Maintenance, and coordinating maintenance requirements between multiple agencies. As Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Engine Management and as Base Engine Manager I also tracked engine performance, scheduled engine maintenance, and briefed maintenance commanders on engine supply status.

2005-2007 Meat Wrapper, Giant Food Inc.

Working as a meat wrapper I was responsible for weighing and wrapping meat items, as well as serving customers, taking orders, and carrying out general cleaning and housekeeping duties.
