PLAYER MEMBER RULES

All player members are required to abide by the following rules of Rosario Football Club and any Codes of Conduct or Policies published by the Management Committee.

These rules govern the payment by players of match & training fees, the attendance and behaviour of players at training and matches and the high standard of conduct expected of them.

1.0  Player Membership

To become a player member of the Club, both Senior Player Members and the Parent/Guardian of Junior Player members must:


1. Complete a Club Membership Application Form to the satisfaction of the Club Secretary.
2. Pay the Club annual membership fee.

2.0  Club Fees

The amounts payable each season will be confirmed by the Management Committee at the beginning of each season.

2.1 Annual Membership Fee

An annual membership fee is payable by all players. A player shall not be eligible to play for any of the teams in the Club until such time as the membership fee has been paid (unless otherwise agreed by the Management Committee).

2.2 Training & Weekly Match Subscriptions

All players are responsible for paying their training & match subscriptions.

If any part of the training & weekly match subscriptions remain unpaid more than one month after the due date (unless by prior arrangement with the Club Treasurer) the Management Committee will give immediate consideration to suspending a player from training and all matches.

3.0  Players’ Code of Conduct

As a player you should:


1. Always play to the best of your ability, fairly and within the spirit and laws of the game.
2. Avoid all forms of gamesmanship, time wasting and any banned substances designed to enhance your performance.
3. Avoid all violent and dangerous play.
4. Never use inappropriate, foul or abusive language whether it is directed at match officials, opposition players or management, your team-mates or manager, assistant & coach, or spectators and supporters.
5. Always accept the referee’s/officials’ decisions without any adverse comment and without showing any form of dissent.
6. Treat everyone with respect at all times including: officials, your own team-mates and manager, assistant & coach, the opposition players & management, all spectators & supporters.
7. Always abide by the instructions of your team manager, assistant & coach provided they do not contradict the spirit of this code.
8. Abide by the team playing policy.

9. Inform your team manager as far as possible in advance that you are unavailable for selection for a match.
10. Arrive at match venues no later than 30 minutes before kick off (unless there is an alternative arrangement with your team manager).
11. Be appropriately dressed for a match in the team shirt, shorts and socks of the Club.
12. Always wear shin pads. If you do not, your manager is instructed to exclude you from a match or training.

13. Attend all training sessions unless you have advised your team manager in advance that you are unable to do so.
14. Turn up appropriately dressed and in good time for the start of a training session.
15. Pay attention to the coach/manager and listen to instructions.
17. Be prepared to learn and to concentrate fully during training.
18. Treat your team-mates and manager, assistant and coach with respect.

19. Be modest in victory and gracious in defeat.

20. Shake hands with your opponents before and after the match, whoever wins.

21. Report any concerns, or questions you may have either to the Management Club Child Protection Officer. All such communications will be treated in absolute confidence.

22. Comply with the rules and regulations of the governing bodies of all leagues, cups and other competitions entered into by your team.

Any player who persistently breaches any of the Club Rules or Codes of Conduct, or Policies published by the Management Committee will be liable to suspension or termination of their membership of the Club at the sole discretion of the Management Committee.
