The system of funding for conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity in Belarus includes both internal and external financial sources.
Internal sources include state government funding is provided in the form of government programs, as well as targeted funding from local and regional budgets of the country.

Issues the study, conservation and use of biological diversity, with funding from the state budget included in the following state programs:
State scientific and technical program "Nature and Nature Protection for 1996-2000." "Ecological Safety for 2001-2005." (3 million $ US, an average of about 600 000 $ US per year), "The forests of Belarus" - 201-2002 years. 870 000 $ US, 2003-2005 - 1.53 million $ US; State scientific and technical program of the National Environmental Monitoring System of the Republic of Belarus, the State program of environmental restoration of Lake Naroch 2005-2008. In 2005, a study of the problems and develop measures to conserve biological diversity of the region used by about 140 000 $ US.
For the purposes of basic research in the field of biodiversity resources of the state budget allocated under the State complex program of basic research "Biological diversity" (1996 - 2000 gg.) And the State Program for Basic Research, "The dynamics of biological diversity" in 2002 - "Biological resources" ( with funding in 2003 - 514 000 $ US, 2004 - 531 200 $ US), in 2005 - 818 500 $ US).
Since the signing and ratification of the Convention (1993 in the country holds more than 350 scientific and technical projects on assessment, conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity in Belarus.
