To make the games fair, we suggest teachers officiate another class.
Station #1 - Nascar Races - You will have to break your class into groups of 4. All groups but one will sit in the bleachers. One group will be assembling your Nascar. They must put together three scooters and one mat to make a car. Two people push the car around the gym and two people have to ride. If the car falls apart, reassemble where they are and continue. When they get back to their “pit”, they need to disassemble their car, move to the bleachers and the next 4 students go. See how many times your group can go around during this station. The class with the most laps wins a point. A video of instructions will be coming out shortly.
Station #2 - Hole in the Bucket - Have your class line up behind the large horse trough. The person at the end of the line should have the tin can. They should walk to the horse trough and fill their can with water. They must pass the can over their head to the next person in line, until the can gets to the end of the line. The last person in line should dump their can into their tub. The first group to fill their tub wins a point.
Station #3 - Toxic Waste - A team of 8 move a bottle of toxic waste from one location to another without spilling. Divide your class into 3 groups of 8. Someone may need to go more than once. The groups should be called A, B, and C. Group A will start moving the toxic waste and they will move it to the first location (a polyspot) and then group B will bring it back to the start. Group C then brings it to the first location (polyspot) and group A brings it back to the start. Group A goes twice for this round. This movement repeats two more times with harder challenges and each group attempting each challenge. Group B, now at the start, will have to move the “toxic waste” over a hurdle and then set it down. Group C moves to this location and brings the toxic waste back to the start. Repeat back and forth for all groups. Group B will go twice. The last challenge is moving the toxic waste over a hurdle and setting it on a table. Group C will go twice to get the toxic waste back to where it started. The class with the most completed lengths wins a point. If the waste spills, reassemble at the spill point and continue. Station #4 - Tug of War - Compete class vs class in a round robin tournament to see who wins the most matches!
Station #5 - Scavenger Hunt - Follow the clues to find a small Mentos gum canister filled with stickers. When you find the canister, take a sticker out and stick it to your clue sheet next to the clue that brought you there. Wait for everyone in your class to arrive before reading the next clue. As a class, search for the next location. Continue with all of the clues in order. First group back to the first aid tent with the correct order of stickers wins 1 point or the group that collects the most stickers during the time frame wins.
