Array™

From Hampton Products International

An Innovative, Simple-to-Use Cloud- and App-Based Digital Deadbolt / Brink’s Home Security Array™ Digital Deadbolts combine best-in-class hardware components with technological advancements in battery/power management and connectivity to deliver a cloud and app-enabled product for homeowners ready to upgrade from traditional door locks.
Over two years in development, Array locks began with the challenge of making an effective, connected digital deadbolt homeowners could rely on without needing to purchase additional equipment or connecting through a gateway hub.
Array door locks use Wi-Fi connectivity for greater interoperability with other Internet of Things (IoT) devices; encrypted connections between the smartphone and the cloud to protect user information; built-in photovoltaic panels that recharge the deadbolt’s battery, and highly efficient power management circuitry that enables a longer useful battery life.
Wi-Fi Smart Lock / Array™ is among the first digital door locks to use built-in Wi-Fi, connecting directly to a homeowner’s router, and bypassing hubs. Analysts predict Wi-Fi adoption in U.S. households with broadband will exceed 80% by 2018.
Array™ door locks can be installed and operated in homes without adding expensive Bluetooth adapters or hubs, or requiring a subscription service. All data transmissions between the deadbolt, smartphone app and cloud are encrypted, and two-step authentication provides confidentiality and ensures the owner maintains full control of their security.
Extended Battery Life / To power the door lock’s Wi-Fi capabilities, Array features a proprietary power management system that enables the lock’s functions to be sustained by a powerful battery and re-charged by the sun and other light sources.
The proprietary, onboard photovoltaic panel system provides an energy yield nearly twice that of standard solar panels and is capable of extracting useful energy even in levels of ambient light.
The advanced onboard power management circuitry regulates the battery’s intake and output, enabling a multi-year, useful battery life.
Full Compatibility / Array smartphone apps are being designed for iOS and Android devices. The app enables consumers to open doors with a smartphone instead of using keys; provide access remotely to guests; check to confirm whether the door is closed and locked; and use the app to view door lock usage and manage user access.
The Array app is designed to be used by homeowners who consider themselves novice-level technology users but desire the benefits of using a connected digital deadbolt.
The Array digital door locks will also be compatible with Apple HomeKit, Works with Nest products, and various Smart Home platforms.
Convenience and Security / From extensive consumer research and product testing, Hampton introduced several design elements into Array:
·  Providing three different ways to open the door: smartphone, keypad, and traditional metal key.
·  The use of a metal keypad (instead of a touchscreen). Consumers overwhelmingly preferred the sensory experience of a physical keypad.
·  A unique security software key embedded into each lock, combined with two-factor authentication to provide a greater level of product security.
Using the smartphone app, Array users can enable remote scheduling, E-Keys and E-Codes; review an audit trail of door users; and receive tamper alerts.
Array locks will meet or exceed American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Grade 2 standards – the highest performance rating for residential door hardware – and be pick-resistant, bump-resistant, and drill-resistant.
Easy to install, Array locks will be available in several finishes to match almost any décor, including satin nickel, Tuscan Bronze® and polished brass.
