Marquee
Do you want to tell your student Happy Birthday, congratulations on your award, or Kudos for getting that “A” on their test? Let us do it for you on the Marquee. The cost is $20.
Come by the office at least 24 hours prior to the day you would like it and we will take care of it for you.
Cougar Store
Woodside K-8 Students are welcome to shop the Cougar Store after school on Fridays. Please be sure to make arrangements with your parents beforehand. Students are to earn their own Cougar Cash, keep their own Cougar Cash, and
have it counted and ready to go before entering the store. Parents need to wait outside so students can conduct their own business transactions. This process is a wonderful life skill lesson for students while promoting positive behaviors.
The Cougar Store could use $5 Starbuck or Jamba Juice gift card donations. Thank you for your support!
A HUGE THANK YOU to Mrs. Maxsom, Elliott, and Troy Maxsom for their donations and service each week! See you at the Cougar Store.
Student Pickup
Please make arrangements to pick up your students on time. Dismissal time is 2:25 MTWF and 1:10 on TH. If students are not picked up within 15 minutes of dismissal, they will be taken into the office to call for a ride. After 2:40 there is no supervision in dismissal areas. All Parents and guardians must come into office to sign their student out.
Parking lot safety
The congestion in the parking lot and drop off zone has been brought to our attention on multiple occasions, and is creating a dangerous situation. We want to remind you that our loop driveway in front of the school is for immediate loading and unloading only. There should not be anyone parked or waiting in this area at any time. If it will take longer than 30 seconds for your students to get into or out of the vehicle, we ask that you find a legal parking spot.
We appreciate your support on this issue.
Cold mornings and warm days
With the cold mornings and warm days students are taking off their jackets while at recess. We do everything we can to make sure jackets get picked up by their owners, however many make it into the lost and found. Please label jackets and sweaters so they find their owner. If your student is missing their jacket or sweater, please look in the lost and found located in the MP room.
Recreational Aides needed
This is a paid position through SJUSD to help supervise our students during their lunch and recess break. The hours are 11:30-12:55 MTWF 11:20-12:45 TH. It’s a great way to get to know the terrific kids we have here at Woodside K-8 and to be part of a winning team. Inquire at front office or contact
