Jesus calls us o'er the tumult
of our life's wild restless sea;
day by day his voice still calls us
saying, 'Christian, follow me.'
As of old Saint Andrew heard it
by the Galilean lake,
turned from home and work and kindred,
leaving all for Jesus' sake.
Jesus calls us from the worship
of the vain world's golden store,
from each idol that would keep us,
saying, 'Christian, love me more.'
In our joys and in our sorrows,
days of toil and hours of ease,
Jesus calls, in cares and pleasures,
'Christian, love me more than these.'
Jesus calls us: by your mercies,
Saviour, may we hear your call,
give our hearts in glad obedience,
serve and love you best of all.

Roamin’ in the Gloamin’

I’ve seen lots of bonnie lassies travelin’ far and wide

But my hear is centered now on bonny Kate McBride

And altho’ I’m no’ a man who throws a word away

I’m surprise mysel’ sometimes at all I’ve got to say

Roamin’ in the gloamin’ on the bonny banks o’ Clyde

Roamin’ in the gloaming with my lassie by my side

When the sun has gone to rest

That’s the time that we love best

Ach, it’s lovely roamin’ in the gloamin’.

Roamin’ in the gloamin’ on the bonny banks o’ Clyde

Roamin’ in the gloaming with my lassie by my side

When the sun has gone to rest

That’s the time that we love best

Ach, it’s lovely roamin’ in the gloamin’.

Last nich after strollin’ we got hame at half past nine

Sittin’ at the kitchen fire I asked her to be mine

When she promised, I got up and danced the Hielan’ fling

I’ve just been at the jew’llers and I’ve picked a nice wee ring.

Loch Lomond

By yon bonnie banks and yon bonnie braes,

Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond;

Oh we two have passed so many blithesome days

On the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

O ye’ll tak the highroad and I’ll tak the low road,

And I’ll be in Scotland a fore ye,

But I and my true love will never meet again’

On the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond
