Upgrade Instructions for EverFocus DVRs

Coping to your FC card

You will first need to get a Compact Flash Card (recommended Sandisk or Kingston 32M or higher) insert the CF Card in to the Compact Flash reader; the other end of the CF reader will be connected to the PC’s USB port. Download the new version of the firmware from our Service Bulletin page and copy to the CF card. Once the file is copied to the CF card, insert the card in to the CF card slot located in front of the DVR. Select and follow the appropriate EDSR DVR that you are trying to upgrade from below.

EDSR100H

Press stop then press Menu and go to the System Setting menu by using the jog wheel.

*Use the ⇦or ⇨ to move from field to field.

*Use the ⇩ or ⇧ to change the value of the highlighted field.

Next to System Update change NO to YES and press enter. Highlight Yes again (by using ⇦or ⇨) and press enter. Next to System Update you will notice it say "Reading....then Programming...then Success..."

Renew your Hard Disk

Now, using ⇦or ⇨ go to disk renew (note: this will format the HDD) turn NO to YES (by using ⇩ or ⇧) press enter. Highlight Yes again by using ⇦or ⇨ and press enter.

Press Menu to get out of the menu and reboot the system.

EDSR100/110

Press stop then press Menu and go to the System Setting menu by using the jog wheel.

* Use the ► or ◄ go to move from field to field.

* Use the ▼ or ▲ to change the value of the highlighted field.

Next to System Update change NO to YES and press enter. Highlight Yes again (by using ► or ◄)and press enter. Next to System Upgrade you will notice it say "Reading....then Programming...then Success..."

Now, Using ► or ◄ go to disk renew(note: this will format the HDD)turn NO to YES(by using ▼ or ▲)press enter. Highlight Yes again by using ► or ◄ and press enter.

Press Menu to get out of the menu and reboot the system.

EDSR400H

Press stop then press Menu and go to the System Setting menu by using the jog wheel.

* Use the ch1 or ch2 go to move from field to field.

* Use the ch3 or ch4 to change the value of the highlighted field.

Next to System Upgrade change NO to YES and press enter. Highlight Yes again (by using ch1 or ch2) and press enter. Next to System Upgrade you will notice it say "Reading....then Programming...then Success..."

Now, Using ch1 or ch2 go to disk renew (note: this will format the HDD) turn NO to YES(by using ch3 or ch4)press enter. Highlight Yes again by using ch1 or ch2 and press enter.

Press Menu to get out of the menu and reboot the system.

EDSR 900/1600

Press stop then press Menu and go to the System menu by using the jog wheel and press enter.

* Use the Enter button to move from field to field.

* Use the Jog wheel to change the value of the highlighted field.

Next to system update change NO to YES and press enter. Highlight YES again (by using jug wheel) press enter.

Highlight Yes again by using jug wheel and press enter.

Next to System Upgrade you will notice it say "Reading....then Programming...then Success..."

Renew your Hard Disk

Now, Press menu option and by using jug wheel go to disk and press enter. By using enter button go to disk renew (note: this will format the HDD)for HDD1 then by using jog wheel turn NO to YES and press enter. Highlight Yes again by using jog wheel and press enter.

Copy the same procedure for HDD2 if you have a 2nd hard drive.

Press Menu twice to out off the menu and reboot the system.
