Student Objective:The student will be able to identify, form and write the uppercase and lowercase letter Tt. The student will also be able to identify words that begin with the letter Tt.

Time / Adaptations
3 mins / Sing the AlphaFriends Letter Tt Song
5 mins / Pair and Share- Take turns sharing a word that begins with the letter Tt with your shoulder partner. Keep going until the music stops. Have the class as a whole share some words- Make a list on the dry erase board.
(John Almarode and John Strebe) / Pictures that begin with the letter of the week are placed so the students can easily see them if they need extra support.
15 mins / Tic-Tac-Toe Board for the letter Tt. Students will complete at least three boxes to make three in a row. (Students have had this modeled and have done a similar board before)
(Tic-Tac-Toe Board idea from Jackie Gulino) / Have students who don’t know the sound the letter Tt makes work with teacher in a small group. (Take note during the pair-share activity)
5 mins / Closure: Share with your seat partner your favorite box from the tic-tac-toe board that you did.

Assessment:

Students will be assessed by their completion of the tic-tac-toe board. I will be assessing understanding of the letter Tt by checking to see if the pictures or words begin with the letter Tt.
