Platoon Level Operations Order
Hold all questions until the end.
· Orientation: We are presently located at grid 12345678. We will be moving in a Northerly direction until we reach the objective at grid 56789012.
· Situation
o Enemy: At approximately 0930 this morning a squad size element of CLA soldiers were seen digging in defensive positions along our area of operations (GC 12345678). They were seen armed with automatic rifles. They are expected to defend fiercely.

§ H: Alpha Company will attack and destroy CLA forces in the zone of operations IOT prevent enemy forces from attacking our supply convoys.
§ A: 2nd Platoon will attack and seize CLA position located to our north (GC 87654321). 3rd Platoon will remain in reserve.
§ S: 60mm mortars are in the rear.
§ Attachments: None
· Mission: On order, 1st Platoon will attack and seize a CLA position (GC 56789012) IOT prevent the CLA from attacking our supply convoys. 1st Platoon is the Main Effort.
· Execution:
o Commanders Intent: None
o Concept of Operations: 1st Platoon will attack along route Red IOT attack and seize a CLA position. From the Assembly Area 1st Platoon will move in Platoon column to its Attack Position and on order cross the Line of Departure. 1st Platoon will attack along Route Red; deploy on line IVO Assault Position and conduct a Frontal Attack to destroy the CLA position (GC 56789012). 1st Platoon will consolidate and establish 180 degree security on the objective.
o Tasks:
§ 1st Squad: You are the Main Effort. On order, you will attack and destroy the center 1/3 of the objective and occupy/establish security at the center of the obj.
§ 2nd Squad: You are Supporting Effort. On order, you will attack and destroy the left 1/3 of the objective and occupy/establish security on left 1/3 of obj.
§ 3rd Squad: You are Supporting Effort. On order, you will attack and destroy the right 1/3 of the objective and occupy/establish security on right 1/3 of obj.
