Dear Violinist and Family:

Hello, my name is Kristin Depucchio and I am the new Violin Instructor. I am also joining the BCS staff as the new 2nd/3rd Special Education Teacher. It is my pleasure to inform you that it is almost time for violin lessons to begin! I am excited to combine my love of music and teaching as I embark on my first year as violin instructor for Bethany Public Schools.

Violin lessons are available to any 4th-6th grader regardless of previous experience. Classes will be divided into 2 sections: Beginner(no experience) and Advanced(previous experience).

Start Date: Week of November 14th

Schedule: Beginner- Monday mornings from 7:45-8:30am (Room C27)

Advanced- Wednesday mornings from 7:45-8:30am (Room C27)

Instrument/Supplies Needed: Violin (beginning students will be sized after registration is sent in)

Essential Elements 2000 for Strings-Book 1

Where do I get a Violin?: BCS currently works with 2 companies that can deliver violins to BCS (rent/purchase)

Where do I get a book?: Essential Elements 2000 for Strings-Book1 can be purchased from Connecticut Music Company for $9.00. The book can also be found on any major music supply website.

*Please do not feel obligated to use the above listed companies. You may obtain a Violin and book from any store.

Performances:Winter Concert (times to be determined).

Celebration of the Arts (times to be determined).

Unfortunately, the Beginner Program has limited spacing. If you are interested in participating in the program, please complete the following form and return it to your classroom teacher as soon as possible.
