CherstinAageson

CherstinAagesonis an extremely dedicated school and community volunteer. She has gone above and beyond in her volunteer duties and is always willing to help her fellow PTSA board members, teachers, parents, students and community members. Cherstin can be seen volunteering on a day-to-day basis as Room Parent, as a volunteer with different PTSA programs and events like Field Day, as well as spending many hours behind the scenes as a PTSA board member.

Cherstin has been an executive PTSA board member for two consecutive years. From 2014-2015, she was co-VP Ways and Means. As if overseeing all of the PTSA fundraising wasn’t enough, Cherstin agreed to co-chair the Spring 2015 Gala Auction when a chair couldn’t be found. Cherstin spent many hours managing the auction website and planning all aspects of the event to ensure it would be a success. The auction was a fantastic community event and the fundraiser raised over $33,000 enabling the PTSA to provide numerous services to Endeavour families. In 2015-2016, Cherstin stepped up to co-chair Ways and Means after the role was left unexpectedly open. The PTSA board is very grateful for her leadership and unwavering commitment.

In addition to serving on the PTSA board and co-chairing the auction, Cherstinis responsible for ensuring that the school has necessary supplies to sustain the children and staff in the event of a natural disaster or emergency situation. For three years, she has painstakingly gone through many, many bins of supplies to ensure each child will have fresh food, water, and other necessary items. Cherstin has also chaired Passive Fundraising,which includes box top collection, car wash ticket sales, and the sale of PCC Scrip cards, on and off over the past 2-3 years.

In her spare time outside of school, Cherstin serves on the Board of Directors for the Sammamish Little League holding not just one but three key roles. As VP Majors Softball, Cherstinserves as the contact person for all Majors softball managers and coaches, coordinates fieldschedules for teams, and manages tournaments. In her role as Softball Minors Divisional Manager, she directs, oversees and supports minors managers and coaches, forms teams,and assembles coaches. Finally, in her role of Softball Coaching and Player Development, Cherstin develops, coordinates, and provides training to managers, coaches, and players.

On the softball field, Cherstin volunteers as the coach for both of her daughters’ softball teams and conducts local pitching clinics. Cherstin is very passionate about softball and her highly encouraging attitude makes a great impact on the young girls she coaches.

Cherstin is an invaluable part of Endeavour school community as well as the Issaquah/Sammamish community. Her willingness to not only help with but to lead so many programs has improved the community and benefitted many, many children!
