In the reference 5th and 6th cited, the APCPDCL adopted the orders issued by the Government of A.P. vide G.O.Ms.No.11, dt:17-01-2012 for payment of Minimum Wages to the Contract Labours with effect from 17-01-2012.

2. In the reference 8th cited, orders were issued for payment of increase of VDA points as on 01-04-2012 as per the rate specified in the reference 7th cited, issued by the Commissioner of Labour in addition to the basic wages adopted vide reference 5th and 6th cited.

3. In the reference 9th cited, the Commissioner of Labour, Labour Department, Government of A.P. has furnished the cost of Living Allowance Index Numbers, along with details of wages and revised VDA applicable to the contract labour w.e.f 01-10-2012 to 31-03-2013 as per the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.

4. After careful consideration, the APCPDCL hereby accords approval for payment of Revised Variable Dearness Allowance(Cost of Living Allowance) to Highly Skilled, Skilled, Semi-skilled and Un-skilled labour working on contract basis in APCPDCL with effect from 01-10-2012 as detailed below:

5. All the Chief General Managers/Superintending Engineers/Pay Drawing Officers are directed to pay the revised VDA points w.e.f 01-10-2012 as per the rate specified in the reference 9th cited, issued by the Commissioner of Labour in addition to the basic wages adopted vide reference 5th and 6th cited. The details of basic wage and VDA payable to the Contract Labours from 01-10-2012 is mentioned at para 4 of this order.

6. These orders are issued with the concurrence of the Director (Finance) vide Regd.No.1119, dated 13-03-2013.
