Generating Family of curves for BJT
Perform tutorial to create the following schematic:
Below is a list of parts that were used to build your schematic along with the libraries that they are in if you are using the school version or student version that you can run at home.

We are just about ready to simulate. We will be measuring the collector current while performing a nested sweep: sweeping the voltage and stepping the current. To save time we will place a current probe also called a marker on the schematic at the collector of the transistor. Current markers cannot be placed on nets they must be placed on the pins of parts.
To place a probe
- use the place current marker icon at the top of the screen which looks like the probe on the diagram below OR from the main menu: Pspice->Markers->Current into Pin
You are now ready to simulate
To simulate:
1)From the main menu pspice->new simulation profile OR if you have already run a simulation pspice->edit simulation profile we will assume the latter
2)You will then see the menu below
3)You need to choose the analysis type. Choose DC Sweep notice Primary Sweep is selected
4)Select Voltage source
5)Enter the Name of the Voltage source that you will be sweeping. Referring to our schematic ours was called V1. This is VCE
6)Enter the voltage ranges that you wish to sweep
7)Next check Secondary Sweep
8)You will see a menu similar to the one below
9)Select Current source
10)Enter the Name of the Current source that you will be sweeping. Referring to our schematic ours was called I1. This is IB
11)Enter the current ranges that you wish to sweep for this secondary sweep
12)Hit <OK> to close this menu
13)To launch the simulation From the Main menu where you schematic is choose: Pspice-> Run or use the Run PSpice icon on the toolbar on the top of the window with your schematic (blue triangle/arrow)
