Dear Parents,

**PAC sponsored Bottle Drive is tomorrow (Sunday from 10-4). Please drop your bottles off at John Muir. They make is really handy! Just drive through the pull through and drop off! Thank you.**

Yesterday all of our Jaguars were able to see a presentation by author, Alex van Tol, as she told us about invasive species on our West Coast. She wrote the book ‘Aliens Among Us’. This was made available from the Times Colonist Grant our school received. Did you know that almost every week each class is still having tennis lessons with ‘Coach B’ from Tennis Canada? We really appreciate this great opportunity and hope you get a chance to play some tennis with your jaguar!

Next week we have a few things happening. Over Monday and Wednesday each class will be playing lacrosse and having a lesson with Naomi Walser.( A local mentor and lacrosse player!) Monday we also have Science Venture coming for an experiment and hands on science time with each class.

*Friday we have our Track Meet at Royal Bay. If your child in Grade 3, 4, or 5 is going, please return permission slips as soon as you can. Thank you to any parents that are able to join us for the day.

*If your child is going to Camp Thunderbird in June, one parent is required to meet with us. Please attend either the Monday meeting at 3:00pm or the Thursday meeting at 6:00pm. Both will be in the library at John Muir.

*Dr. Martin Brokenleg Presentation -This is an amazing speaker that we are fortunate to have available to us. All parents (which is you if you are reading this!) should try to attend if you are able. It strongly relates to restitution and is very helpful in raising all age children. June 5th 6:00 at Belmont Secondary.
