Once you have an idea for a thesis statement, brainstorm a list of possible points that support your thesis. Choose the three strongest points. These will become your method of development.

Create an outline to form a thorough point form skeleton of your essay.
Create a full rough draft, hand written or typed. This draft must be ready for peer editing on .

The Power of Brainstorming!
To write an essay, you need to have a carefully planned THESIS statement. A thesis statement states exactly what you will prove is true in your essay.
Your thesis must be an idea that is ARGUABLE, PROVABLE and WORTHPROVING.
To create a thesis, you must first BRAINSTORM possible ideas. In the end, some you will use and some you will not use. Nonetheless, you must take the time to gather possible details that will build your argument. Once you see the details you have, it will be much clearer in your mind what you will be able to prove is true. Then you can form your thesis.
