President’s Report

Regional Events

-The DC chapter will host this year’s Founder’s Day event

- Submitted (2/10) info to be put in Alumni newsletter

-photo of audience from movie event

-photo of chapter members at movie event

-photo of chapter members from black pearl

-confirmed face to face meeting in march

-listed community service event

-Contact Morehouse chapter president to introduce myself and stay in the loop about activities

-For next meeting, we need to start thinking about figuring out what we’ll do for our social night.

Treasurer’s Report

Community Service

-ODB March 18 9am-12pm

-Need 10 volunteers

-RSVP by February 18 to Yvette

PO Box update

-Yvette called and is going to add her treasurer e-mail address to the list of contacts

Fundraising Report

-Do we need to reconstitute fundraising community?

- Interest in Koche Studio- can earn 35% of profits (a) have private party with at least 20 people; (b) get a coupon

code that has an expiration date and get profit from all who register by the date.

-HBCU Game night scheduled for 5/11 At Green Turtle in Owings Mills in a side room

Food/Supplies (Continental Breakfast, Subway Sandwiches, Notebooks, pens, Spelman College Print materials and info cards)

-Rising 9th graders to rising 12th graders

-Shaeeda will set up a poll on Conference theme ideas Ariel will send it out to listserv Monica will post it on social media by March 3rd it will be posted by February 13

-Get people to sponsor girls

-Ask chapter members to donate $20

-Open Registration on March 11 on Eventbrite and website Close Registration on May 13

-We will ask Monica to work on a Save the Date to post as soon as possible

-Conference activities 9am-4:30 pm

-After the March 4th Meeting we will start contacting local school systems
