SERVICE ASSISTANT

Paratransit, Inc. is now accepting applications for a Full-timeService Assistant.The schedule will varybetween4:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.A current DMV printout (H6) must be submitted with your application.You must be 21 years of age for insurability. The deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, June 30, 2016.

This position is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, washing, and fueling buses, vehicles, and other equipment; performing minor servicing of assigned vehicles; and performing a variety of general cleaning, maintenance, and delivery duties. Service Assistants receive direct supervision and perform duties within a framework of well-defined policies and procedures. Also, requires bending, walking, squatting, stairs and long periods of time standing.

The minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to clean and fuel buses
  • Valid California Class C Driver License with the ability to obtain a

Class B Commercial Driver License

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats

Salary:

The starting salary is $11.00 per hour. This position includes a benefits package.
