Who is Ally Carter?
Ally Carter was born and raised in Oklahoma. In high school, Ally was very active in a number of student organizations and graduated as co-valedictorian of her senior class. She then attended Oklahoma State University and Cornell University and worked for several years in the agricultural industry before writing full-time.
Her first novel, "Cheating at Solitaire," was published in 2005. The following year she published the sequel to "Solitaire," "Learning to Play Gin." After this, her focus shifted to young adults. Her first novel for young adults, "I’d Tell You I Love You but Then I’d Have to Kill You" was published by Disney-Hyperion in April 2006. It was followed by "Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy," "Don’t Judge a Girl By Her Cover," "Only the Good Spy Young," "Out of Sight, Out of Time." "United We Spy" is the sixth–and final–Gallagher Girls novel. The series centered around a boarding school for Spies.
She is also the author of "Heist Society" and its sequels "Uncommon Criminals" and "Perfect Scoundrels." In January 2013 she published the cross-over novella "Double-Crossed" that features characters from both the Gallagher Girls and Heist Society.
"All Fall Down" is the first book in Ally's latest "Embassy Row" series. The second book titled, “See How They Run,” will be featured at the WC-GE Appearance. This series features a main character living as the child of an Ambassador in a foreign country. In this she continues to spotlight strong, intellectual and worldly concepts that captivate not just teenagers.
Ally's books have been published in more than twenty countries and have appeared on best-seller lists from the New York Times, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Barnes and Noble, IndieBound, and Bookscan. They have sold over two million copies in the United States.
