The Estonian Technical Surveillance Authority (ETSA), Tallinn, announces the updating (Regulation No.96 of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, 29 October 2008) of a National Numbering Plan (NNP) in Estonia (Regulation No.45 of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, 11 June 2007).
The Estonian Numbering Plan is a closed numbering plan, where geographic area dialling numbers (geographic area codes) are absent.
General changes to the numbering plan:
•Numbering ranges 81 and 82 are open for mobile telephone numbers (81XX XXXX and 82XXXXXX) for the provision of mobile telephone services.
•Numbering ranges from 83 to 85 are reserved for mobile telephone numbers/services in the future.
The procedure for calling Estonia from abroad does not change.
When dialling from abroad to Estonia, after the international access code (international prefix) and the country code of Estonia (+372), the National (Significant) Number (N(S)N) will follow.
The maximum length of an international number is fifteen (15) digits.
