Guidance on submittingcomments on Interim Standards

Comments are invited from interested stakeholders on the technical content of Interim Australian Standards (AS), including interim joint Australian/New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS).

All comments received by the Interim Standard’s expiry date (as specified on the front cover of the product) will be considered by the relevant technical committee.

All comments should be submitted on the attached form to:

Section 2 – Interim Standard Details

Enter the designation and title of the Interim Standard that your comments relate to.

Section 3 – Interim Standard Comments

For each of your comments please complete the following details:

  • Page Number – Enter the page number of the Interim Standard. Only enter the number, do not enter the word “Page”. If your comment refers to the whole document, leave this column blank.
  • Clause/Subclause Number – Enter the clause/subclause number. The clause/subclause appears in the Interim Standard as a number for each item of text. Only enter numbers.If your comment refers to the whole document, enter“General” in this column.
  • Paragraph/Figure/Table Number – Enter the paragraph number within the clause, figure or table.
  • Comment – Enter your comment here. Your comment should include general background information or reasons to justify the changes being proposed.
  • ProposedChange – Enter your modified version of the clause or section of the clause.

Standards Australia does not provide information on the results of comments received, however we will ensure that all comments are considered by the relevant technical committee.
