Leistritz: Most successful K Show ever
Review of German Leistritz Extrusionstechnik GmbH: In terms of the number and quality of visitors, as well as machine sales the K Show was absolutely positive.
Düsseldorf (26 October 2016) – “Even on the first day we realized that this year’s K Show would exceed our expectations,” says Michael Thummert, Head of Marketing and Communication of German based Leistritz. “And this is precisely what happened: There were numerous visitors at our stand, a flood of new projects, several machine sales and an extraordinary atmosphere. The K 2016 was a record fair for us!“ Not only machine novelties were in the focus, this year Leistritz also wanted the visitors to experience the almost 80-year-long competence as processing expert in the field of plastics extrusion. With 29 lectures in eight exhibition days with topics such as Industry 4.0, extrusion of HFFR cable compounds, bioplastics, polymerization compounding etc.,Leistritz hit a nerve with the visitors.
Highlights
The innovations on the Leistritz stand were extremely well received. In particular the smart twin screw extruder ZSE 35 iMAXX was celebrated.“Especially masterbatchers were convinced by this machine with its various thought out features,” explainsMichael Thummert. „It’s a very flexible and intelligent solution that scores top points, not only in terms of machine technology, but compared to other machines of this size on the market also for its ease of operation, quickcleanability, and therefore economic efficiency.”These facts were so convincing that the ZSE 35 iMAXXwas sold several times directly at the trade fair.
A further highlight at the stand was the presentation of Leistritz‘ largest extruder ever built, a ZSE 260 MAXX, which visitors could experience in 3D augmented reality. „We have been building large and powerful extruders for quite a while now. To enlarge our ZSE MAXX machine series with another size is a logic step. This extruder achieves throughputs of up to 35 t/h,” says Michael Thummert.
Besides their largest extruder, Leistritz also introduced their smallest one: a ZSE 12 HP-PH for pharmaceutical applications. With throughputs of 50 to 1,000 g/hthe ZSE 12 HP-PH is ideal for research and development. „Our aim at this fair was to show our whole product range. Therefore, the little one must not be left out,” says Michael Thummert.
„This year’s K Show was a huge success for us. Not only are we happy about the good figures, but also about the quality of the contacts we had,” Michael Thummert reflects. “Many of them approached us with promising project inquiries.“ Now is the time for Leistritz to follow-up on them.
